Medium Hair texture can be easier to blow out than most, but how do you know your hair is a medium texture? Ask yourself a few of these simple questions. Does your hair hold curl, volume or both? Is it easy to tame any frizz you may have with the right products? Can you go a few days without washing it and it still looks fresh? If you answer yes to these questions then you fall in the medium hair texture category.
The recipe to keeping your hair healthy and looking great is a clean scalp and the right shampoo & conditioner. Oribe Signature shampoo & conditioner and Living Proof Perfect Hair day Shampoo & Conditioner make a perfect everyday shampoo. There are so many great product lines now it can be hard to pick which one you should go with. I suggest switching it up once in awhile. It’s fun to discover new awesome products. I am always using different product lines to give my hair a change . Once you scalp is all clean and the ends of your locks conditioned all you need is the right styling product and you will have the hair you have always wanted.
Product- depending on what look you are looking for with medium hair texture will determine what kind of product you will want to use. For a wave or curl style you want a product with some grip like a mousse or a styling cream. I love the Morocconoil’s mousse and hydrating styling cream. The mousse adds a nice hold without the feeling of product and leaves a great shine. It’s best if you take out a little moisture from your hair before applying the mousse. When your hair about 10-20% dry take the palm of your hand and pump mousse in it. Then with a wide tooth comb rub some of the mousse on your comb and comb through hair. Do this all over the hair until the mousse is gone. Combing it through will apply the product more evenly and allow for a better result. If you prefer working with a cream apply a dime sized amount of morocconoil hydrating styling cream. The cream has moisture for frizz and offers a slight hold to help hold you desired style. Make sure you work it in your hands before applying to hair to make for more even of an application. Now you are ready to watch the video on blow drying hair wavy and/ or curly.
